I love First Watch and will look for one when traveling in a larger city. It’s a great place to enjoy breakfast or brunch. They are open only until 2 pm. Everything I ordered including the coffee was amazing and was super fresh! It tasted like it was right out of the kitchen and were good portions. I let them know that I have celiacs and my server alerted the kitchen. I ordered the Tri-Fecta; scrambled eggs, bacon, but substituted the waffle for gluten-free French toast. First Watch now charges to make that substitute but there are many other gluten-free options on their menu. Another morning, I tried the Bacado, an omelet with bacon, cheese, and avocado also served with toast and house salad. I asked for the gluten-free toast. Burger Up is located on 12th Street, along with lots of fun places to shop and see like: Draper James – Reese Witherspoon’s clothing store, Buck Mason – a men’s clothing store in a garage setting, Marine Layer – a San Francisco based clothing store that has a T-shirt vending machine. What you end up with will be a surprise. There are so many more fun places in this area and you can make an afternoon of exploring the cool shops along the street and end with a burger at Burger Up. They source their menu from local farms. I ordered the Classic Burger and substituted the bun for a gluten-free bun and chose the sweet potato fries. They charge $4 extra for a gluten free bun.
